Introduction

Welcome to Fondue Fury. These Terms of Service ('Terms') govern your use of our website and participation in the Fondue Fury cycling challenge.

By accessing our website or registering for the challenge, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Fondue Fury organizers.

Acceptance of Terms

By registering for the Fondue Fury challenge or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to participate and they must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

Challenge Participation

Eligibility Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent if under 18
  • You must be in good physical and mental health suitable for ultra-distance cycling
  • You must have valid insurance coverage including personal accident, liability, and emergency medical coverage
  • You must have sufficient cycling experience and skills for challenging mountain terrain

Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You must notify us of any changes to your registration information
  • Registration must be completed before starting your challenge

Challenge Rules

  • The challenge is completely self-supported - no external assistance is allowed
  • You must follow the designated route and visit all checkpoints in the specified order
  • Mandatory safety equipment includes helmet, high-visibility clothing, lights, and reflective vest
  • Minimum 3 hours sleep per 24-hour period, with sleep stops occurring at night
  • You must comply with all local traffic laws and regulations throughout your journey
  • You must respect the environment and follow Leave No Trace principles

Liability and Risk

IMPORTANT: Participation in Fondue Fury involves inherent risks including serious injury or death.

By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the challenge, including but not limited to: severe weather conditions, mountain terrain hazards, traffic risks, mechanical failures, and personal health emergencies.

Fondue Fury organizers, sponsors, and partners accept no responsibility or liability for any injury, death, loss, or damage that may occur during your participation. This includes but is not limited to accidents, theft, equipment failure, or acts of nature.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fondue Fury organizers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your participation in the challenge.
