The Control Points

Aigle
Your journey begins in this wine country town at the base of the Rhône Valley. Roll out past vineyards with the Alps looming ahead - this is your last taste of easy terrain before the real climbing starts.

Grosse Scheidegg
Deep in the Bernese Oberland, reaching here means you've already covered the Rhône Valley and crossed into Bernese territory. You've earned this mountain pass view with the Eiger staring you down. Catch your breath here - the big Alpine climbs lie ahead.

Verzasca Valley
Deep in Ticino's wild valley where the road hugs granite cliffs and the river runs impossibly green below. You're halfway through and feeling it - this remote stretch tests your resolve before the final alpine push.

Oberalp Pass
At 2,044m, this is the highest point of your entire journey - the crown of the Swiss Alps crossing. High and exposed where the railway cuts through barren mountain terrain, if weather turns bad here, you'll know it. The epic climbs are all behind you now - Furka, Gotthard, the big Alpine battles are won. From here, it's the final descent toward Appenzell and your date with Seealpsee.

Seealpsee
You made it. This peaceful alpine lake in Appenzell's green hills is where your Switzerland crossing ends. The stunning Säntis towers above, casting its shadow over your achievement, but for once, you don't have to climb it. Time to soak in what you just accomplished.
Fondue Fury is a non-competitive, self-supported challenge where you set your own pace and write your own story. Choose your riding window between July and September and experience Switzerland's most iconic locations—from Lake Geneva's shores to the Bernese Oberland's peaks, through Ticino's wild valleys to Appenzell's rolling hills.
Safety Manifesto
Non-Negotiable Sleep Rules
3 hours minimum sleep per 24-hour period
Your body needs recovery time to handle multi-day alpine demands.
3hr Sleep stop must happen at night
Power naps don't count. Your circadian rhythm keeps you safe.
Prove speed through strength, not sleep deprivation
Want to go fast? Ride efficiently, climb smart, maintain pace. Cutting sleep isn't speed - it's poor judgment.
